Low Tide Collection

A collection of large works on canvas that are 67cm x 67cm, that capture Marie’s love of the sea. Growing up in the western suburbs of Sydney, Marie yearned to live closer to the beach. As a little girl she would spend her weekends down at Thirroul with her family. She grew up beach combing the shores of the beach, swimming through the surf and exploring the rock pools there. This is where her affection for the ocean began. Many years later, these experiences still inform her art practice. Rock pools, land formations and the ocean are strong points of reference in Marie’s work. The Low Tide series is her translation of the landscape into abstract forms, using whimsical lines to capture the flowing movement of the sea.
