The Outback Collection

A collection of abstract mixed media compositions that explores the wild Australian outback. In 2020, together with her family, Marie embarked on a five month road trip around Australian in a caravan. Marie’s relationship and connection with the Australian landscape grew stronger when she traversed through the outback. Throughout this series, Marie intensely studies the landscape from a topographical view. The linear forms representing the journey through the rugged terrain; while the circular shapes mimic the land formations and geological mysteries found throughout the outback. The dots and marks depict the trails left behind on her mystical journey through our Great Southern Land.
